Ulta Summer Glam Beauty Essentials

Here's a look at my Summer Glam Beauty Essentials from ULTA Beauty. It retails for $28.00 but has a value of $89.00.  The reason I bought this is because it has some really good brands that I would love to try. I took these pictures with my phone and hope they look good. And No they didn't look okay at all.
Just finished retaking them with my NikonD3100.

You can find this at ULTA Beauty

Each item is pretty much a deluxe sample size

The box open up like this

The swatch is the one on the very top

Strawberry Lemonade

I only swatched it on my bottom lip.
I like the the way it smells and the gloss it gives my lips. You can definitely feel it on your lips but it last long. My son on the other hand hates it when I give him kisses while I'm wearing this. He says its too sticky and gross. Oh I love him so much!!

Pretty In Paradise-June 2014 IPSY

I was pretty pleased with this month IPSY bag. I have been wanting to try a beach spray for my hair for a while now and a NYX gloss.
Subscribe to IPSY for only $10.00 a month

I really liked the bag this month.

I have never seen this product before until now.  Its by LANEIGE and can be found at Target.
BB Cushion with SPF50

It came with 3 shades: Light, Medium, and Dark

This is the sponge you use to apply the BB Cream

Light shade

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray

I had just gotten out of the shower and my hair was still damp when my ipsy bag came. I loved how my hair looked after spraying it. It gave my hair so much body and texture. My hair never looks like this when it air drys alone with out product.

Skinn-Olive & Enzyme Cleanser

Nickak New York
Shimmer Eyeliner in green

NYX butter gloss in Eclair

I applied a light skin tone lip liner and it gave me a little more color when I applied the NYX lip gloss over it.  This is a very sheer gloss and not sticky. This will probably be my go to butter gloss.

Anchor for My Soul

Recently I was asked to crochet an anchor for a baby shower. I found 2 patterns but found this pattern to be easier to follow. I loved how Petals To Picots displayed it as a card for her mom. Very creative and beautiful.
As I was making these anchors I couldnt stop singing the song by Micheal W. Smith "You Wont Let Go". I love the lyrics and its a great reminder of His promises.
Here are some photos of my recreation inspired by Petals To Picots. Thanks for sharing this pattern!

I used 2 strands to make each anchor. They are going to be used as Baby Shower favors so I wanted them a little thicker.

I chained 28  with white yarn and stitched the chain to the back of the anchor.

This is one of the first ones I made. I used a single strand on this one. This one was a little off centered too. I still use stitch markeres to keep count of my stitches but did not use it on this one.

This is what my anchors looked after they were all completed. I wanted them to lay completely flat. So I blocked them the only way I knew how.

My flat anchors!

I held my iron over the achors in steam mode and got close enough to them without the iron touching the yarn, I did not have any pins on hand to shape them so I just shaped them with my hand as I went.

I am very thankful for this pattern and for being able to make these!
